Hosts File:Hosts File Used to Resolve Local Host Name on Your Computer.Hosts File Location in All Windows is “c:/Windows/System32/Drivers/Etc.
Generally Windows 8 Do Not Allow Editing of Hosts File But in This Post I Will Told You an Alternate Way to Edit Hosts File and Blocking Any Website.If You Want to Block Some Websites For Your Child and You are Not a Technical Person Then Hosts File is a Simplest Method to Block Sites in Windows Systems.


To Block Websites Using Hosts File Read The Steps Given Below:
For Windows 7->
Click on Start->All Programs->Accessories->Right Click on Notepad -> Open As Administrator -> File -> Open -> Select C Drive -> Click Windows Folder -> Click      -> Click System32 Folder -> Click Drivers Folder -> Click Etc -> Select Hosts-> OK


Add an Entry in The Last Section of Hosts File Like Below:



Now Open Browser and Try to Open Facebook.com It will Not Opened .

For Windows 8/10->
Click on Windows Tab on Keyboard->Type Notepad -> Right Click Notepad -> From Bottom Choos Run As Administrator->File -> Open -> Select C Drive -> Click Windows Folder -> Click      -> Click System32 Folder -> Click Drivers Folder -> Click Etc -> Select Hosts-> OK
Add Same Entry Given Above:
Now Open Brouser and Try to Open Facebook.com It will Not Opened .
